Field Trip - EPIC Museum

We visited EPIC, which is the Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin. It is located right off the River Liffey in the business district of Dublin. Upon arrival, we each got a passport to help guide us through the museum. At the end of each gallery we got another stamp for our passport. The museum consists of 20 different galleries that tell the story of Ireland and its people and the impact they have had on the world. From history, to music, to sports, this museum covers it all. Most of the galleries had interactive parts that helped enhance our experience. One of my favorite parts about this museum was the Irish dance tutorial in the “Music and Dance” gallery. Did you know the United States White House was designed by an Irish man? James Hoban designed it with his inspiration from his training at the Dublin Society’s Drawing School. I thought that was pretty neat.
